I have known Franzi and Ronny for a while because shortly after our first skype date I made a daytrip to their home Munich for a little engagement session. It was a sunny November day and it had almost 20 degrees (even the ice cream parlour re-opened). Good times!
Almost one year later I flew to Salzburg as their wedding took place at the beautiful Ansitz Wartenfels in the Austrian Alps. Ever since I shoot weddings I haven been there at least once every year so it already feels like coming home. Just thinking about it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Such an amazing place.
The only thing that wasn’t that amazing was the weather. While it was tropically hot when I landed at the airport, it started raining later that day and didn’t stop on the wedding day either. This couldn’t disturb the good mood at all though. Franzi took off her sparkly wedding shoes and wandered around barefoot for our short couple session. I think you couldn’t be more relaxed about rain on your wedding day.
Of course their two dogs were also part of their big day. They played hide and seek under Franzi’s dress, had fun with the guests or got secrelty spoiled with ice cream by grandma.
It was such a laid-back yet perfectly styled and plannend wedding. Probably because Sonja of Trauwerk was in charge of that. I think I have not seen a wedding with such an amount of wonderful details in a while. Wow!
Cannot wait to come back to Ansitz Wartenfels for my next wedding (hopefully soon!).
